Khun Yai
This is my grandma, no one knows exactly when she was born but she passed away on the 10th of November 2024. I don’t know much about her but when ever I am in her presence she always had a warm and kind heart. She had 6 children, one of them my mother, Malee. She was a role model for many, having miraculously winning an award for being the best mother in the province of Ranong. She worked hard throughout her whole life as her husband passed away 50 years ago, having to provide for her children.
I became a monk when I turned 20, before she passed to give her brownie points when she goes to heaven. I can still remember how happy it made her that I had devoted my time for the core values of our family. It really brought my relatives together which really, was what I wanted for my grandma.
If there is anything I could do to honor my grandma, the least I could do is feature some of my favorite photos I’ve taken and share her story - “The greatest mother in the province of Ranong”.
